Journey Behind The FallsExperience the majesty of nature at her finest. The Journey Behind the Falls is a self guided tour that begins at the Table Rock House Plaza and ends at the base of the Horseshoe Falls.
After descending 38 m (125 ft) deep into the Great Gorge via high speed elevator, you are deposited at the beginning of tunnels that extend 46 m (150ft) behind the waterfall. As you pass through the tunnels you will see many plaques displaying historical information and fun facts. The tunnels lead you to two portals directly behind the Falls as well as to a large observation platform. There is no better or closer way to truly experience the power of the Horseshoe Falls.
The observation platform allows you to be enveloped by the roaring noise of this phenomenal natural wonder and be gently showered by its mists. Ever present rainbows arch over the swirling thundering waters as nature reminds us of her splendor. You will be right beside the Maid of the Mist as it bobs along on its way to the centre of the Horseshoe. This attraction offers endless photo opportunities. If you thought the view was breathtaking from afar, you will be blown away by the awe inspiring sensation of being so close to the Falls.
